My first book was published by Lion in 1997 when I was 37.

I first started trying to write seriously in my mid-twenties while I was still an English teacher. That and the arrival of four children rather cramped my style as did our decision to home-educate them. I was fortunate not to be the victim of the traditional truckloads of rejections, however, and, so far, have had books published by Lion (now Lion Hudson), BRF, Usborne, and A & C Black Publishers Ltd.
